Gastrointestinal eosinophilia, a broad term for abnormal eosinophil accumulation in the
gastrointestinal tract, involves many different disease identities. These diseases include
primary eosinophil associated gastrointestinal diseases, gastrointestinal eosinophilia in
hypereosinophilic syndrome, and all gastrointestinal eosinophilic states associated with
