Up-regulation of liver/bone/kidney alkaline phosphatase (LBK-ALP) has been associated
with the onset of osteogenesis in vitro. Its transcription can be up-regulated by bone
morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), constitutively active forms of their cognate receptors, or
